Basic site on the outskirts of Ashby de la Zouche. Level field to pitch the tent but we were put on the road field so quite noisy. Electric hook up enabled us to run our cool box and electric cooker but not the electric fan as well (temperature dropped somewhat over night!).The facilities are basic - two fairly new showers - one ladies, one gents - clean tiling and shower curtain and electric showers - no mirror or sink though within the shower area - one mirror outside on the wall along with a shaver point. You have three toilets to choose from - all three in sheds - a unisex with light and no washbasin; a ladies with cold water basin but no light; a gents with cold water basin but no light. Unfortunately the toilet sheds are next to the chemical toilet disposal which which did pong!. For all three toilets YOU MUST TAKE YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER!! There's a gem of a pub/restaurant just a six minute walk downhill to the right of the farm - The Tap Room - carvery and normal menu with a great selection of beers/gins.We will go back but will ask for a pitch further away from the road.
