Reserved a meal for approx 30 people, two weeks beforehand. last minute changes to just over 20 was no problem.( menu choices were given in advance,to ensure our guests requirements were met.) Staff were accommodating and all meals served together, hot and no mistakes!Fabulous service, lovely food, and great value for money, ( especially if you grab one of the many offers they have ! )Will definitely be going again!
We were a party of 5, one of us had the three cheese quiche that was warm but the base seemed undercooked, the chicken and chorizo pie was just warm, pork mixed grill had been obviously over microwaved as the ribs had meat burnt onto the bones, the 8oz rump steak was good. The mixed grill was the best dish, however not a big enough plate to cut it to eat it! We also had the orange chocolate lava cake, was not warm enough and mine had a hair in! We also had two Bailey's profiteroles, which didn't taste like Bailey's and was served with the waiters thump in, that he had to wipe off the chocolate from himself, these were also served with ice-cream that seemed very icy not so much creamy.
Firstly the decor and service was amazing.The sharing starter was extremely greasy, plenty of grease left on the plate, the Chile came without rice as they had none.They had no large Yorkshire's so my partner couldn't have the Yorkshire wrap or filled Yorkshire pudding, she could however have a roast, WITH Yorkshire pudding. The food seemed to be reheated or brought in frozen.The kitchen need to step up to the same level as the serving staff.
New look since I last visited. Looks much nicer and the service was great. Beef in Yorkshire pudding rap with horseradish sauce is amazing. Keep it up.
Great and tasty macaroni three cheeses, well-cooked and soft delicious garlic bread. Food was piping hot and the service had friendly, approachable staff. Good for families and reasonably quiet, relaxing place to eat. Close to the A42, and offers hotel stay.
