Nice place , lots of different types of tablets booths ,quiet small room tall tables. Ladies is in the arctic so two lots of stairs.
Easy to find, right in the middle of Ashby. Good and drink, and as ever, very good service in Wetherspoons. Drawbacks are lack of convenient parking. There is Coop, which is close but it is 2 hours maximum, for a pound. The other drawback is the ladies is on 2nd floor up two steep flights of stairs. There is a ground floor disabled loo though. On the day I visited I found it a bit cold; but it was -2 degrees C outside and I was already cold.
Would be good if you could get served without wanting food should be a cafe not a pub
It is time local management sorted out the cleaning of the place ie carpets, walls & tiles broken in the ladies loo. Some members of bar staff need to be told to listen to what the customers request and also to turn round the pump clips when a specific beer is off - pretty basic really.
Lovely breakfast, friendly staff. Nothing glamorous just simple good food. Rarely have hot chocolate, but do have herbal teas if you ask. No gluten free bread, just in case.
