I do not think this place can get 3 or 4 stars as before.Very disappointed by all food we ordered, from pies to meat.
Staff not very friendly or welcomingBig group, pre ordered food. Food was coming out before everyone had sat down. Plates were being taken away before people had finished eating. No time inbetween courses. Pestered whilst eating to see if we had finished. Food was ok. Not the same quality as last year. Shame as it was a nice pub.
Food was good and the service was great but we were the only ones in and it lacked atmosphere
Visited Saturday early evening in a group of 12.. We were sat straight the way at our table and once the menus arrived we soon all ordered. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub doesn't have a restaurant feel it's definitely a pub that serves food but amazing food at that. All of our meals were very well cooked, very tasty and very good quality for a fair price. It's obvious the chef takes pride in the food served. We often eat out at restaurants of varying quality from high end to tavern table style and i can confidently say ive never had a better meal anywhere else. I would definitely recommend a visit and I will definitely be back again and again....
Was treated to Sunday dinner here today by a friend and was very impressed with everything! Roast beef dinner was beautiful, plenty of veg and potatoes, loads of gravy and oh my the dessert! We ate about 2pm it's now 10.20pm and I'm still full! Very reasonable as well. Recommended!
